Clare is responsible for all things transport within the CCR. This mainly prioritises sustainable transport opportunities from Active Travel to bus priority, park & ride, transport integration, air and even Ultra Low Emission Vehicles and targets all transport providers and users. Chartered in Logistics and Transport and HNC in Civil Engineering, Clare has spent all of her career in the public sector, initially in HMIT, and for the last 24 years, in Local Government, where she has gained significant experience in Transport Policy, preparing local and regional transport plans, delivering transport schemes both locally and regionally, prioritising transport programmes and Chairing various working groups including regional bus, active travel and road safety.

The CCR RTA and City Deal is offering Clare the latest opportunities to lead and inform the transport agenda where rapid change to how the transport network is developed is required, particularly due to COVID and the lifestyle changes seen over the past 6 months. Clare has been working in this role for the past two years and is excited to see where transport moves to in the next few years.

Outside interests include running, weight training, holidaying abroad (not so much this year), reading and spending time with her large family and friends.
