The Crindau Wharf development comprises a development site of 6 acres in Newport City Centre along the River Usk. The site is highly visible from the train line and is the first visible site into the city centre. It is situated to the North of Newport train station.
The Crindau Wharf scheme will be mixed use – combining apartments, Grade A offices, retail and a hotel. The scheme will also incorporate a multi storey car park.
The Masterplan for the site is in the final stages of development and currently encompasses the following elements (subject to detailed planning consents):
- Over 230,000 of Grade A office space
- 80 residential units
- 80 bedroom hotel
- Ground level retail
- 400 space multi storey car park
- Leisure/retail – food and beverage outlets and public realm
The Masterplan for the site is progressing at pace and it is expected the first planning application covering the whole of the site will be ready for submission in Spring 2020.
