The Cardiff Capital Region has established an Economic Growth Plan, which sets out an ambitious and long-term plan to boost productivity and accelerate economic and inclusive growth in the region. Its aim is to make South East Wales a highly investable proposition, backing businesses to sustainable jobs through targeted investments in skills, priority industries, infrastructure and innovation.
The Investment and Intervention Framework works as a guidance tool for businesses to submit proposals to one of the three Priority Funds; Innovation; Challenge and Infrastructure, leveraging £495 million the CCR City Deal has available as part of the Wider Investment Fund (WIF).
The Framework is now open for investment proposals and can be accessed here.
Submitting an investment proposal
To submit a proposal, a sift questionnaire must be completed. Itassesses the project proposal and determines its suitability from a strategic perspective. Its suitability is measured against the core aims and objectives, aligned to the Industrial and Economic Plan, and deliverability of the proposal.
