MIPIM 2020

Representing the Cardiff Capital Region at MIPIM

What is MIPIM?

Considered the world’s largest property exhibition, MIPIM (Marche International des Professionals d’Immobilier) attracts thousands of people each year, including 5,000 investors, 4,800 developers, and 500 journalists from across the globe.

As one of the biggest events in the property and investment calendar, MIPIM is renowned for its investment opportunities. Held in Cannes, France, people come together to network and learn from one another over a set of four days, showcasing the skills and potential of their regions.

Throughout the UK, regions like Manchester, Leeds and London as well as other devolved nations like Northern Ireland and Scotland attend MIPIM, attracting significant investment and opportunities. It has become a main opportunity for regions to present themselves and their possibilities on a global platform, attracting financial support and investment along the way.

Why the Cardiff Capital Region City Deal attends MIPIM

The Cardiff Capital Region is attending MIPIM to showcase all of South East Wales’ incredible businesses and inward investment opportunities to the world. It provides a unique occasion to develop new high-value connections and create meaningful networks.

As the days of City Deal funds and European grants are ending, it is now more important than ever before, to sell our competitive strengths on a global stage and seek out the investors, backers and markets that like what the Cardiff Capital Region has to offer.
In order to attract the jobs and investment that will transform South East Wales in the future, the CCR City Deal will proactively promote the region not only on a national, but also on an international platform.

The Cardiff Capital Region is investable with many opportunities. It is home to the fastest growing UK capital city on several measures and is one of the top 10 City Digital Start-up locations. It is time to take such messages to an international audience and ensure the Cardiff Capital Region shines brightly in the European investment market.
