Darren Jones MP, Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister, visits sbarc|spark building to meet AI-led commercial tenants

Great to welcome Rt Hon Darren Jones MP, Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister, to Sbarc|Spark last week, to see first-hand the innovation emerging from South East Wales.

During his visit, the Minister toured the offices and labs of pioneering AI companies Antiverse, which has received funding from CCR, and nisien.ai, meeting the teams behind cutting-edge work in artificial intelligence, drug discovery and data-driven technologies, as well as visiting Cyber Innovation Hub.

The visit provided an opportunity for our Chief Executive Kellie Beirne and CCR Chair Cllr Mary Ann Brocklesby to sit with the Minister and Ben Woodward Holland Antiverse Co-founder to discuss how CCR’s investment into Antiverse is a great example of the kind of cutting-edge innovation that is creating global impact from Cardiff.

It was a great opportunity to showcase how organisations across the Cardiff Capital Region are supporting innovation-led growth and helping position South East Wales as a hub for emerging technologies.
