Cardiff Capital Region attend the inaugural Interceltic Scaling Awards

Categories:

Cardiff Capital Region (CCR) attended the Interceltic Business Forum on Monday 12th August as part of the Festival Interceltique de Lorient in Brittany, France.

The forum aims to foster collaboration between Celtic businesses across Europe share innovation strategies, explore new business opportunities, and build cross-border partnerships, culminating in the Interceltic Scaling Awards. The one-day conference featured keynotes and panels on each Celtic nation, including a panel session hosted by Mark John, Co-founder of Tramshed Tech, and Daniel Sawko, CEO of shipshape.vc, which highlighted the thriving tech ecosystem in Wales.

CCR and our partner Invest in Cardiff co-sponsored the inaugural Interceltic Scaling Awards to spotlight the achievements of the most innovative businesses in the Celtic regions, with Ken Poole, Head of Economic Development at Cardiff Council, sitting on the panel of judges. Our Region was home to two finalists – Whisper Cymru and Delio – who had the opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial ambitions and success on a global stage at the awards.

All finalists delivered excellent pitches and were recognised for their innovative business development and growth. We would like to congratulate the overall winner, Breton startup Famileo, as well as Welsh fintech company Delio, that was awarded the Wales Regional Prize.
