Infuse has launched the Infuse Collision Space to bring together the brightest minds from across the public, private, voluntary, and community sectors to tackle some of the biggest challenges we currently face.
Funded by Cardiff Capital Region with support from academics, data scientists, and experts in innovation, data and procurement, Infuse builds innovation expertise in Wales across public, voluntary and private sectors, and support new models of service delivery.
What is the Infuse Collision Space?
The Infuse Collision Space aims to give people and organisations the skills and tools they need to address pressing decarbonisation targets amid the global climate crisis.
The innovation programme will bring selected participants together to form cross-sector teams that will explore a challenge, identify possible solutions, test ideas, and have the opportunity to pitch for funding to support promising ideas.
The Challenge: How can we support a just transition to net zero within public sector transportation across the Cardiff Capital Region?
Delivering a just transition will mean that as we move to a cleaner, stronger, fairer Wales, we leave no-one behind. As transport is the largest emitting sector of greenhouse gases, the Challenge has potential to deliver significant impact by implementing green innovations whilst maximising the societal, environmental, and economic benefits to the Region.
A focus on public sector transportation could mean looking at any area of transport within the Region that relates to the public sector, such as increasing the number of journeys made by green vehicles, or reducing emissions related to fleet vehicles.
The Programme
Over four months, participants will progress through four stages: Explore, Build, Test, and Evaluate. Individuals can expect to:
- Build innovation methodology, leadership, and presentation skills
- Access a network of cross-sector subject matter experts
- Have the opportunity to pitch for funding
Applications are now open until 24th September for all individuals who have a passion for collaboration, innovation, and leading change.
