A warm welcome to the latest edition of News From, the newsletter that gives you key updates on CCR’s work across the region on funding projects, innovation and opportunities.
Â
I’m really pleased to highlight some of our activities here – Cardiff Capital Region (CCR) is all about harnessing the best in the public and private sectors in South East Wales, bringing teams together and often acting as a catalyst for amazing success.
Â
A specific example of this is the work we are doing with a Chepstow-based company, IQ Endoscopes. Though our Challenge Fund, our initial £374,000 investment enabled this medical tech company to raise multi-million private sector funding and the resulting technology is set to transform the way that endoscopies operate. The full story so far can be read in these pages.
Â
Another success story in these pages is our £35m housing funding programme that is on track to deliver 2,500 new homes and supporting 14 housing developments across South East Wales.
Â
With best wishes for a Happy Christmas, see you in the New Year!
